Even Skin Tone
Skin pigmentation issues like rosacea, broken blood vessels, redness, sun spots, and overall skin tone problems can be effectively addressed with intense pulsed light (IPL) photofacial therapy. This simple, non-invasive process is done with a handheld device that emits targeted pulses of light to focus on problem areas. Modern Aesthetic Centers is excited to offer this procedure to our clients. So if you’re ready for a brighter, more evenly toned complexion, schedule a consultation with us today!
Therapeutic and Aesthetic Relief
IPL photofacial is a revolutionary technology our office uses to treat myriad aesthetic skin issues. In this procedure, your provider moves the IPL wand across your face to apply the intense pulsed light to the affected area. There is a slight pinch associated with the IPL photofacial. The IPL device is adjustable for different skin conditions. When the IPL heats the skin, it removes unwanted cells and corrects the condition you’re being treated for.
Targets a Myriad of Issues
With an IPL photofacial Jacksonville area residents treat many different issues. The intense pulsed light can treat various skin irregularities, including:
Because it sends out a range of light, IPL photofacial can treat a myriad of issues at the same time.
Different Levels for Different Needs
When you arrive at our office for your Jacksonville IPL photofacial treatment, we will discuss your aesthetic goals and what you hope to achieve with IPL photofacial treatment. We will then decide which level of IPL photofacial treatment will work best for you. IPL photofacial is best for those clients with pale to light brown skin. If you are pregnant, have a skin condition, or take medication for certain situations, you may not be a good candidate for IPL photofacial treatment.
Non-Invasive
This non-invasive procedure is completed on an outpatient basis. Your aesthetic specialist will first cleanse your face of any makeup. They will then move the IPL wand over the treatment area. There will be a slight pinch, much like a rubber band snap, when the light wand is applied. This is because the light will penetrate the lower levels of the skin while breaking down and dissolving unwanted pigmentation. The whole procedure takes approximately 30 minutes.
Tight, Beautiful Skin
After your Jacksonville IPL photofacial, your brown spots and blood vessels may appear darker for a few days. This will decrease after about five to seven days. After about a week, you will begin to see results. In three to six weeks, your skin will be more even-toned, tighter, and have fewer dark spots and blood vessels. After just a few sessions, you will have lasting results that may even be permanent. You can come back once or twice a year for follow-ups to maintain your results. Most people are thrilled with their results and are very pleased with the tone, texture, and appearance of their skin after treatment.
No Downtime
There is no downtime associated with the IPL photofacial procedure. After the procedure, you may experience some redness and mild swelling, but this will go away within a couple of days. Pigmented areas will temporarily appear darker and may flake off after a few days. When the procedure is over, you can go about your day and apply makeup after your session. You will see a gradual improvement in your skin after each session.
There is very little pain associated with the IPL photofacial procedure. It feels much like the snap of a rubber band.
After a series of these procedures, your results can be permanent.
